Yearly project

Connect Slovenia- Become Active Global Citizen will be carried out with the support of Erasmus+.

The spirit of Connect will awaken already during the year with the students, their ideas and actions, from Belgium, Romania, Czech Republic and Slovenia. Together we will create a weekly exchange.

Connect Team gathered three categories where youngsters can create and become active.

Be environment-friendly: One of today's biggest issue is pollution and waste. Within this topic we want to invite students to talk about environment, its troubles and how this affects all of us. The students will make a plan and strategy, and with small initiatives build towards a bigger change.

Be social: As humans we are social beings, we live in communities and depend on one another. The sad part is that many of us don't know people around us unless they are our friends or family. Only a few truly know their neighbours or say hi to people they pass by on the street. And this is a starting point of misunderstanding and non-acceptance. With this topic, we want to invite students to talk about their society, open their eyes and start a conversation with their community. As the motto of the Connect will be Active Global Citizen, students decided to take the initiative to be social and connect.

Inspire through art: Modern world is giving us a lot of options and we can get quickly lost in all the information. With art we can inspire people to focus and see life in a different way. With creativity we can find inner peace within the noise around us. We want you to create art that will have a deeper meaning within theme Active Global Citizen. Students will share their inspiration through art whether it would be through a poem, a drawing writing, film or photos. Through their creativity, they will show their opinions, ideas, feelings and answers to the questions in their harts.

All of their hard work will be the introduction into the Connect Week, where students will co-create the program with different exhibitions, initiatives and debates. The input of the students is the key-point of the Connect Week.
