Nives Trobentar Žagar

I am a former Waldorf student that is specializing in Intercultural Linguistic Mediation. Getting to know different cultures, learning new languages, meeting new people and creative writing is what I am passionate about.
The first time I came into contact with Connect was in 2015  as a volunteer and it opened a door I never want to close. I came back home a different, better person: unafraid of changing my life and pursue my own dreams. The week I spent with so many inspirational people, helped me find the courage to look in the mirror and discover who I am.

Two years later, when they invited me to come again as a volunteer for the 2017 conference, there wasn’t a second of hesitation.

Since the beginning, I had the dream to bring Connect to Slovenia and now the opportunity has finally come. I hope that with this Connect, we can inspire others to help building a better future for ourselves, as it inspired me all those years.

“If you assume that there is no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope. If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom, that there are opportunities to change things, then there is a possibility that you can contribute to making a better world.”
