Katharina Schüßler

Born and raised in Saarbrücken, a small town in Germany, I quickly felt the need to move, dive into other cultures and see the world. Boarding school in France at the age of sixteen, Indonesia, studying in the Netherlands, three rich months in Italy and a current home in Belgium, not only brought me five languages, but also the strong realisation that my passion for them comes from the will to meet and connect: Languages being a golden ticket to people and experiences.

While studying Dance Movement Therapy, I found another way of connecting, this time on a non-verbal level. The art of dancing is a fantastic mutual language for people from different cultures, backgrounds and beliefs.

As a contributor and volunteer during Connect 2017 I witnessed the power and engagement of various young people and dreamed of organising the next conference ever since. With lots of energy and excitement, I want to create an empowering and enriching experience for youngsters who are willing to see the world and their role in it.
